Autobiography

Joanna Piatek Writing and Rhetoric Autobiography 1989 was truly a great year. The fall of collectivism began to sweep many of the European nations, including Poland which until then was heavily influenced and controlled by the Soviet Union. Polands transition from a communist government to a democratic state was thrilling, plainly my parents were much more excited because of the fact that on May 18th, that same year, I was born. And, I am proud to be part of memorial for that reason. Being the youngest of four children, I was always considered the baby in the family, but from the beginning I was always very attentive, caring, and answerable when it came to my siblings, I guess every female is born with these traits, or maybe I was just blessed with them. My earliest childhood memory was a boxful of crayons that my father brought me from West Germany where he often traveled on business as a wholesale merchant. My mother, on the other hand, was a homemaker by choice. After all, there were four of us rug rats. During the summertime, my siblings and I spent many of our vacation time on the elevate visiting our grandparents. These outings allowed me to experience something new and previously unknown to a kid, and to this day have fueled my passion for travel.

While at school, I skewed towards projects that included the use of my artistic skills, but my sister and two brothers always focused on the shrink to the point subjects like math and science. By 2004, I was 15 and an adult, at least thats what I thought. However, that was not the biggest neuter in my life. My parents decided that the best way to improve the lives of their children was to permanently move the entire family halfway across the world. And so, on lordly 5th, 2004, we have officially immigrated to the United States along with our hopes and dreams for a stop life like many other Polish families forrader us.
