A few years back in that location was a big contr everyplacesy about the large(p) clubs that were soda water up all over town. At any abandoned time we only had one or two of the hardened in different parts of town. Many people did not even know we had them until the owners of the two we had wanted to expand into separate parts of town. One owner bought and fixed up a run down restaurant and when the people in the residential neighborhood found out about what he was issue to do they raise holy heck. They got the local news snarled and anyone who would listen.
The owner of the adult club went to court. The citizens of Erie did not want the adult club in their neighborhood. The owner still tried to exculpated the club. The sign in front of the club says all nude person dancing. Because of this and the location the citizens got a lawyer and took the owners of the adult clubs to court. This is when the anti-nudity ordinance came into affect.
The owner of the clubs did not like this ordnance. The ordnance says that the girls in the clubs have to bring out pasties and g-strings no full nudity. The owners felt that this ordnance violated their root amendment rights.
So back to court they went. Eventually the ordnance was over turned, but not for long. In the end the city won, the US Supreme over turned its decision saying the Eries anti-nudity ordnance did not violate any first amendment rights.
The pros of this indemnity, if the clubs girdle open it could help those who can not control their impulses that control them to do violent sexual acts. This policy also protects the girls, from baring it all. The cons of this policy could lead some to commit violent acts when they contribute these facilities.
