After I watched this picture show, I thought it was very sound constructed as well as entertaining. I saw this photograph when I was about 8 years old, so I didnt really remember what the ikon was about. But this movie definitely gave me goose bumps. The thing I found more or less intriguing byout the movie was that Clarice Starling solved most of the grapheme by herself. To me, she represents a feminist-like character that will take matters into her feature hands.
In the beginning of the movie, Clarice is seen completing an obstacle course through the eerie woods. This kind of setting sets the tone of the whole movie since woods are naturally creepy. It also makes the viewer intellect that Clarices character is tough which symbolizes her as a last woman. I think the director put this scene in because it shows that Clarice will be a victim of some diversity since she is always alone.




As an FBI agent at a male-dominated institution, Starling has to pass on with many nasty remarks. For example, when she goes to talk to Dr. Chilton about Hannibal Lectors case, he asks her out and she rejects him. However, when she talks to Lector, she feels that she can talk to him good because he wants to ask inside her head rather than in her pants. Also, the deputies thought it was strange when Starling showed up to see the dead automobile trunk of the woman Buffalo Bill killed.
