To most people, shopping for swimsuits or lingerie is difficult because of insecurities standardised being overweight, too thin, not enough muscles or not enough cleavage. It is difficult enough to meet the standards of todays society without having a physical insecurity but what if a medical issue made it necessary to have a surgical operation that would make you feel embarrassed because you are no longer just like everyone else? People who have an ostomy surgical operation often have these feelings and it is necessary to help them realize that tone can be normal again.
It is imperative to teach and master individuals involved with groups who can mentor and provide positive a self- consistency image for individuals who have surgery because it can necessitate body image, self-esteem and sexuality. Our assignment from fundamentals was to look for a telly on you tube that would teach us something about ostomies. later on listening to the lecture today, the thing that stuck with me the most was how the surgery would affect the persons self-image and that is what I focused on in my search. The video I found was simply amazing.
