Georgie was considered retarded, at Mrs. Cressmans class. At the boys home he is considered as smart. In Tampa at school, He wasnt fitting to read a book. During the boys home, He been taught by Mr. Collier and contain how to read simple stories. He was labeled and recorded as retarded, now he can memorize things and study. He cant learn after school. Then after the boys home he can learn and memorize. He changed mentally in many years.
Georgie change from a cold hearted, shy, misfortunate boy into a cheerful, confident, warm hearted boy. Before he was triskaidekaphobic of Steve because he beated him and abused him. Soon when he went to the boys home he felt safe because Steve is away from Georgie because he went to jail. Georgie scared to show his scars. Later at the boys home he showed his scars to Timothy and told to her about it. He was scared to show his flower book then he showed it to his friend and showing pictures. He converted a lot of things in life.
